Tamo 406 Oats      **New** Tamo 406 Oats is a new licensed released oat variety from Texas A&M.  This new small seeded oat has high grain and forage yielding ability.  This is a semi-prostrate winter oat with a superior disease resistance package.

It is adapted to areas of Texas, South of I-20, as well as most of the Southeastern United States.  Tamo 406 has medium-late maturity, with average height and good winter hardiness for its’ area of adaptation.

Tamo 406 has been extensively tested in the Southeastern U.S. and Texas.  Tamo 406 has been resistant to Crown rust at all testing locations to date.  Tamo 406 offers the best crown rust resistance package that is available among existing cultivars.

Tamo 406 is sold as a certified seed and carries Plant Variety Protection.
