Giant Bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon)

Introduced, perennial, warm season grass. Grows up to 2 feet tall, dark bluish-green sod grass with both rhizomes and stolons that take root at nodes. The internodes are flattened. The ligule is a conspicuous ring of white hairs. The inflorescence has 3-6 purple spikes which resemble a bird's foot. Similar to common bermudagrass, however grows more upright.
