With high protein values and excellent forage production, soybeans are an excellent choice for planting wildlife food plots. Soybeans are easily planted from seed and germinate in only a few days when moisture is present. Soybeans are eaten in the foliage stage or after the beans have matured. Some reseeding can occur after the seed falls to the ground, producing even more plant material in the late season until frost.
